Do your work willingly, as though you were serving the Lord Himself, and not just your earthly master.
Colossians 3:23 CEV
Thoughts:
If you were working for the Lord Himself, would you show up late, be insubordinate, be lazy and do the bare minimum, or fuss and fight with your coworkers? Surely not! Today’s verse encourages us to work for our earthly master aka boss, as though we are working for our Heavenly Master by putting our best foot forward and giving the job itself all that God has given us to give. And do it with a positive and submissive attitude and a cheerful heart.
Today’s Assignment:
Show up to work today on time, with a positive attitude, and do your best as if you’re working for the Lord Himself, because indirectly, you are. In doing all that, you’re also showing your appreciation for having a job as well.
