She seeks wool and flax and willingly works with her hands.
Proverbs 31:13 NKJV
Thoughts:
When you know God has called you to do a certain thing, there should be a holy eagerness to get the job done. He promises us in Isaiah 65:22 (TPT) that we will enjoy the work of our hands throughout our lives, so based on that scripture, work should be a fun activity that we get to do every day, wouldn’t you agree? So, the enjoyment of the assignment itself could be the reason behind the Proverbs 31 woman’s willingness to work diligently with her hands. God is so wonderful that He wants us to be enthusiastic about the work that we do for His kingdom and His glory.
Today’s Assignment:
Read Proverbs 31:10-31 and ask yourself: Do you have the same type of enthusiasm about your job as the Proverbs 31 woman? If you do, that’s great, and if not, pray these scripture verses back to God:
-
Isaiah 65:21-22 TPT- People will build their own houses to live in, and they will not be taken over by someone else. They will plant their own vineyards to enjoy, and they will not be confiscated by someone else. They will live long lives, like age-old trees, and my chosen ones will enjoy to the fullest the work of their hands throughout their lives.
-
Psalm 90:17 NIV- May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands.
