Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Matthew 26:41NIV
Thoughts:
The Holy Spirit that’s in us is willing to do everything that God wants without hesitation, but it’s our flesh that leads us astray. Staying attentive and prayerful keeps us aware of the temptations so that we can call on God to help us fight against them. When we’re locked in with the Lord, we block out the schemes of the enemy.
Today’s Assignment:
When temptation greets you mysteriously, call on the name Jesus, and the enemy will flee.
