A Forgiving Heart Prayer

Father God, I come before You with gratitude and a heart that is surrendered to You. I pray that you will help me to forgive others as You have forgiven me time and time again. You have removed my transgressions from me as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12 NIV), so I’m asking you to give me the strength to do the same for my offenders.  And as I bind, rebuke, and cast out the spirit of unforgiveness, I trust and believe that it is done already by the power of Jesus Christ. I decree and declare that as I speak, You are creating in me a clean heart and renewing a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10 ESV), so that I may be tender-hearted towards others and slow to anger, and quick to forgive in the Mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen!
