It is important to know that giving is a privilege, not an obligatory responsibility. It is a voluntary act of good stewardship, love for others, and pure joy to be able to bless someone in need because the art of giving leads to a Heavenly lifestyle here on earth. Ultimately, allowing us as givers to bring Heaven to earth as mentioned in Matthew 6:10. Giving is a rewarding experience that nourishes our souls and enriches our lives, satisfying us from the inside out.

Give to the poor

Giving help to the poor is like loaning money to the Lord. He will pay you back for your kindness.

~Proverbs 19:17 ERV

"Money is but one venue for generosity. Kindness is an even more valuable currency."

Give your gifts and talents to serve others

Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others. Be good servants of God’s various gifts of grace. Anyone who speaks should speak words from God. Anyone who serves should serve with the strength God gives so that in everything God will be praised through Jesus Christ. Power and glory belong to him forever and ever. Amen.

~1 Peter 4:10-11 NCV

"Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve."

~Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Give the BEST of yourself

In all the work you are doing, work the best you can. Work as if you were doing it for the Lord, not for people. Remember that you will receive your reward from the Lord, which He promised to His people. You are serving the Lord Christ.

~Colossians 3:23-24 NCV

“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.”

~John Wesley

Give like God gives to you, with no strings attached

I tell you, love your enemies. Help and give without expecting a return. You’ll never, I promise, regret it. Live out this God-created identity the way our Father lives toward us, generously and graciously, even when we’re at our worst. Our Father is kind; you be kind.

~Luke 6:35-36 MSG

"That's what I consider true generosity: You give your all and yet you always feel as if it costs you nothing."

~Simone de Beauvoir

Give to please God

And don’t forget to do good and to share what you have with others, because sacrifices like these are very pleasing to God.

~Hebrews 13:16 ERV

“Giving is not a sacrifice unless you truly need what you're giving  for yourself.”

~Anonymous

Give to be entrusted with more to give

Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.

~Proverbs 11:24-25 NLT

“Only by giving are you able to receive more than you already have.”

~Jim Rohn

Give so that there's no one needy among you

The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all. There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need.

~Acts 4:33-35 NLT

“When you’re in a position to have gotten so much, the gift at this point is to give back.”

~Paul Stanley

The beauty of it all is that giving is never a loss because we can NEVER outgive God. So, we can live happily and generously ever after, as our giving adds life to our years, making the world a more beautiful place one good deed at a time.
